Bio – Philip M. Butera


Philip M. Butera grew up in Buffalo, NY, earned a BS degree From Gannon
College in Erie, PA, served in the US Navy then received an MA in Psychology
from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. He has published four
books of poetry, “Mirror Images and Shards of Glass,” “Dark Images at Sea,”
“I Never Finished Loving You,” and “Falls from Grace, Favor and High
Places.” His crime novel, “Caught Between,” has been published, and his
second novel, “Art and Mystery: The Missing Poe Manuscript" is now available.

Seven Story Rabbit audiobooks, Jacol Publishing, and Philip have
scripted his novel “Caught Between” into a Podcast radio series that will air
on EatSleepWrite.org. He is a contributing editor for EatSleepWrite.org Philip
won full scholarships to the 2017 Palm Beach Poetry Festival, 2017 Creative
Capital Workshops, and the 2018 Creative Capital Advanced Workshop. He
also has a column in the quarterly magazine Per Niente.

The Cultural Council of Palm Beach premiered his play, “The Apparition,” and exhibited his poetry in their main gallery. The Artists Guild Gallery/Boca Raton Museum of Art also presented “The Apparition,” as did Art BoxSt of St. Augustine, Fl. Philip was involved with PoetFest 2022, St. Augustine, presenting scenes from the Apparition.

Philip Butera is a founding member of Creative Circles Podcasts. He is currently
working with a photographer from Britain and an artist from Paris to produce
a themed coffee table book about women. He lives in Boynton Beach,
Florida, and is on Facebook.
